Decided to try this app for a while before rating it. At 1st it was great. Daily messages are nice & rewards are a good reminder of how far you've come. Now for why I'm not giving it 5 stars. When I click rewards the app crashes & have to reopen it. Also if I clear my app data the cash rewards amount goes back to zero. When I started I'd get a daily motivational rewards message for my completed days which was nice but it stops at 3 months, goes to weekly, then at 6 months stopped all together.

We have upgraded and there is no sign of the issues you describe. We also added many new rewards. Thank you for your review. Please consider editing your review since you indicated that other than the problems you mentioned you would have given it 5 stars. Thanks again for your helpful suggestions which made this a better app.

I had gotten addicted to drugs for the past few year's and bc my friends and all the guy's I hung out with would always literally give me free drugs. All the time. And a lot. So I figured November 8th, 2023 was the day I knew and felt I'm definitely addicted to this. I tried 3 times only to relapse. Then I downloaded about 8-11 sober apps to mess with when I was in withdrawals. The app, Sober, was one of the absolute best apps in every single area of it. I love the motivational quote, messages!

Oh, okay, so you actually locked previously available functions behind a paywall. Congratulations. Corporate greed wins again. EDIT: I understand that keeping the app available isn't free for you, but the "premium" features were FREE previously! When you introduce a subscription model, you need to ADD premium features, not just restrict the previous ones!

We understand why it feels that way. The decision wasn’t about profit, it was about sustainability. As Sober grew, we needed a way to fund ongoing development, support, and improvements. We introduced paid features gradually to keep the app viable long-term, not to take advantage of users.
