Standard Bank Masterpass is now Standard Bank Scan to Pay powered by Ukheshe. Our app makes it easy to scan and pay QR codes for almost anything, from groceries to bills to online shopping.

Sign up using only your mobile number and securely add bank cards from Visa and Mastercard for safe and convenient payments. Your cards are protected with industry-standard encryption keeping you safe and secure.


You can pay any printed or online QR codes from Scan to Pay/Masterpass or SnapScan. Pay bills from Pay@, Easy Pay, DStv, municipalities and more. You can also pay faster at online retailers like Takealot and more by selecting Scan to Pay or Masterpass when checking out. You don’t need to enter card details or banking information.

Our app provides convenience when buying prepaid airtime, data and SMS bundles from MTN and Vodacom for yourself or someone else. Select the product you want and use your saved cards to pay. Your prepaid airtime and data will be automatically loaded. No need to enter voucher codes.

Excellent way to pay online where it is supported. Also greatly improved now it can handle SnapScan and Zapper so no need for separate apps. However, the app could do with an option to use a light background and black text as the combination of off-white and blue text on a black background is getting much harder to read as age takes over.

Used the app last night and everything worked perfectly, woke up this morning to discover it had been rebranded and now it won't open anymore. Tried force stop, clear cache, clear all data, rebooting device, and completely reinstalling the app, but nothing works. Trying to launch it just gives a grey screen for a moment and then it closes without any error message. Strangely it does run if I launch it from this Play store page.

tried app. 1. online limit issue wrt payment - so i assume not app problem, BUT 2. I got error messages wrt some bug, and the app stopped. (twice). Uninstalled app. is the next a coincident? I soon after received a call saying they are from standard bank fraud. but it was an attempt at fraud. trust issues.
