StatWeightMonitoring allows simple graphical monitoring of weight and to alert in the event of a drift.
StatWeightMonitoring determines the natural variability of your weight based on your recordings. This variability is illustrated using a histogram.
StatWeightMonitoring calculates monitoring limits centered on the historical average of your weight. If your current weight falls outside these limits, we can estimate at 95% the appearance of a drift (positive or negative) in weight. A graphic illustration allows you to visualize this natural variability and any drifts. The quality of the monitoring limits will improve after 5 measurements. On the same graph, the weight target that you have chosen also appears. This target depends only on you, it can be easily modified while using the application.
The monitoring limits in red detect rapid drifts (a good meal for example). Inspired by Shewhart's control charts, they concern individual values. The purple monitoring limits apply to the weighted average of the weight, influenced by previous measurements. They detect slow drifts. Based on EWMA control charts, they are more effective.
To limit too many old recordings, it is possible to delete them on a case by case or per entire month basis. Recordings are stored only on your phone and can be deleted by you.
It is possible during a recording to notify a special event (sports, food, medical, etc.) as in a logbook. This promotes a more detailed analysis of drifts.
StatWeightMonitoring does not give advice or a recipe for changing your weight. It simply warns you in the event of a highly probable drift.
