Permissions
Trend Micro ScamCheck needs the following permissions to function fully:
• Accessibility: This allows the app to read your current browser URL to protect you from explicit or unwanted websites.
• Access contacts: This allows the app to access and sync your contact list so you can select contacts from the app to send messages, make and receive calls, and for the app to identify spammers and scammers.
• Make and manage phone calls: This allows the app to access your call log and display it within the app.
• Show notifications: This allows the app to display messages and alerts on your device’s screen.
• Send messages and view SMS log: This allows the app to detect suspicious text messages.
• Set as default SMS app: This allows the app to function as your primary text messaging app, allowing you to receive and send SMS messages and filter spam messages.

I'm a big fan of trend micro - usually. This product is a big exception. Performance issues, constant freezing and having to force quit/restart. I've honestly seen Alpha quality software with far fewer issues. The first step of setting up ScamCheck should be uninstalling it.

Not as good as I had hoped. This app puts text messages in the junk folder from my mobile phone provider O2 and I can find no obvious way to move them back to the 'All messages' list. When I press and hold the text in Junk folder some options appear but no 'not spam' option. Also, when a text is spam how do I move it to Junk folder? Not as easy compared to dealing with emails in a junk folder. Not very straightforward. Google Messaging app which this app replaces is better and more easier to use

As long as this app works I'll be satisfied. Unsure of the SMS, text message, not happy about that one. It's the spam calls I get wanting to sell something I could care less about. I think I've got it set on contact calls only.
