About this app

VegAssess is designed to assist field ecologists complete vegetation assessments, including Vegetation Quality Assessments (VQA) and Biodiversity Assessments (BAM) required in Victoria and New South Wales. The app also allows users efficiently create flora and fauna lists and record cover and abundance data.

Key features include:
* Custom-designed VQA and BAM plot assessment forms, with:
- Inbuilt EVC and PCT benchmarks
- Dynamic drop-down species lists with quick search function
- Non-linear data entry allowing data to be entered or updated as it is observed - just like a paper form.
- Auto-calculation of scores, including present and modified scores for VQA lifeforms, and totals such as woody species numbers for recruitment.
* Simple flora and fauna species lists, allowing a user to record cover and abundance data for any species in NSW or Victoria.
* Standardised data exports including the BAM calculator template (CSV), detailed and summary reports for VQA assessments (PDF and CSV), and Victorian Biodiversity Atlas compliant species exports (CSV).
* Photo and notes capture for later reference.
* In-app links to key assessment information and resources, such as PCT data, VicFlora species profiles and BAM assessment manual.
* Support for multiple devices, allowing teams to collect project data simultaneously under a single organisation account.
