My only gripe is that it breaks the emersion a little bit and you can't look at wrong answers. Otherwise, perfect. Edit: the new heart system really negatively impacts how much progress you can make if you occasionally make small errors. Some days you can spend half an hour banging things our or 4 minutes not being able to make an ounce of progress. And the ads at the end have become quite intrusive and long. The app I feel used to be better. They've recently taken a turn for the worse.

For what they charge for the paid version, some things are so annoying. Like the volume difference. 1 sentence super low and the next super loud. I'm on day 35 and I think they've replayed the same story at least 5 times. Some vocabulary updates would be great. I'm going through the lessons with Mexican friends, who are saying how outdated some sentences are. Overall I wish I had not upgraded to paid subscription.

This app is amazing. It turns learning a language into a game, compete with others or go at your own pace. I always thought learning another language would be difficult and take long hours of study, but not with Duolingo. It's thoroughly captivating, and will have you looking forward to learning and enjoying lesson after lesson for hours on end. The way the lessons are structured makes them easy to follow and understand. I personally can't get enough of this app. Highly recommend, 5 of 5 stars.
