FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS ANYONE BUT REGISTERED USERS WITH HEARING LOSS FROM USING INTERNET PROTOCOL (IP) CAPTIONED TELEPHONES WITH THE CAPTIONS TURNED ON. IP Captioned Telephone Service may use a live operator. The operator generates captions of what the other party to the call says. These captions are then sent to your phone. There is a cost for each minute of captions generated, paid from a federally administered fund.

Ratings and reviews

I really appreciate the update to this app. It somehow feels faster, lighter- loading times before were clunky and slowish, and I don't know what the issue is, but inbound calls are constantly dropping once I answer. Have yet to see if this is remedied. One suggestion, if I may? The calls I miss often don't leave a message, and I might like to callback at a later time. I think a read/mark unread feature as a visual reminder would be useful. An inherent equalizer/volume setting would rock 2.

I have had innocaption installed on my phone for a number of months now and couldn't be happier. I am able to talk to family members for the first time in ages and they appreciate that. The captions are accurate and very fast. I also now feel comfortable making medical appointments, etc where before I relied on my wife. It saves me much embarrassment and crossed signal. It is truly a life changer for the hearing disabled. Last, I just had an issue with the app and they helped fix it next day

Very useful app for those with hearingAPP loss. I had difficulty understanding voicemail messages. This app types out the message when you listen to it. ALSO, there are captions for incoming calls, as well as a way to turn captions off. Customer support is extraordinary. They responsed to my question quickly and checked back with me to see if their suggestion worked. VERY HAPPY WITH THIS APP.
