It's the only social media app I use, I like the concept of it and how versatile it is, but I've been disappointed lately. As of 05/14/24, all of my IG filters disappeared. I don't have the option to browse filters or even if I click on a filter through someone's story, it shows me no option to try that filter. I also don't like the DMs because the notifications seem to be random. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't, so messages go unnoticed.

It was great... until they changed the algorithm to make hashtags useless and added that godforsaken AI. It used to be a good way to see how craft designs (sewing, knitting etc) looked in real life, connect with new people, and discover new patterns. Now it's just and endless stream of ads, "suggestions" and more "suggestions" many of which are years old and not related to ANYTHING. Worse than useless.

From 2024: I lost the ability to zoom on stories with the latest update. People I follow put so much tiny text on the screen that I can't read it without zooming. From 2022: Super glitchy all of a sudden. I can't watch stories without them pausing. It won't resume, so I have to go back and then to the story again. When posting anything, if I switch to another app and come back to finish my post, it is gone and locks up. So frustrating! Using Android.
