I like having an app to keep in touch with foreign friends & connect with new people we meet, but it is not easy to make that first contact with someone new. There should be an easier way to connect with people & send a message to them, they don't always show up when I click the envelope button for a message. It's easy when they write to me first, to just respond but the other way is messy

The computer version is terrible. It takes several minutes to launch and often freezes and crashes: many times each day. It takes more than 10 seconds for any conversation to load after you click on it. The changes made in late 2022 on replying, forwarding, etc are worse than what existed before. I hate it and only use it because sometimes I have to share documents on my laptop. The computer version was never good, but it's gotten worse.

I have been using WhattsApp for years without any problems, that I recall. One improvement I would like to see is a notification for outgoing messages without having to open the app and going to the message info. One other suggestion would be to change colors of the notification checkmarks for delivery/read/seen notifications. It's rather difficult for old eyes to tell the difference.
