I like that it's game-like, uses different voices, and uses different methods (fill in the blank, listen, speak, match pairs, etc). However, if I did not already have previous Spanish courses, I don't know that this method would be effective as it doesn't teach the basics, e.g., the difference between word endings like -o and -a, how to conjugate verbs, or that Spanish puts the adjective after the noun. It just expects you to use context clues. Otherwise, it's a good refresher and practice app.

I love the app, it has really come a long way compared to when I first used it back in 2020. The software's gotten a lot more smoother, and it makes learning languages a lot more fun! I've been learning French and German now and I'm really starting to comprehend both languages. I tested myself by listening to a French podcast and some French artists, and I can comprehend many words and sentences! I do, however, wish there were longer listening and transcription activities.

The pace of progression in the music course feels too fast, and hard to grasp. Maybe I'm just bad at this, but it feels hard to learn and progress at the app's pace. I have fun and feel like I can learn and review at my pace with Japanese, but find myself infinitely frustrated trying to keep up with the music lessons. I also don't understand why the dark theme is no longer an option. I know I can change my phone settings, but it seems silly not to have the option in the app.
