Ratings and reviews

Lovely game, the game is much longer and not 10 hours long like Pixel Remaster, but it might be because it's just slower in every way. I knew what I was getting into, but wow enemy variety is lacking in what feels like a LARGE chunk of the game, even as new player there wasn't much reason to fight anything but dungeon mobs (best xp afaik), so was fighting same dogs and frogs, recolored sprites for HOURS AND HOURS to lvl to kill each dungeons boss, that's just my memory of my most recent playthro

I love this game for the DS and steam, but this version is filled with issues. The main issue I've noticed is the text constantly running past the text box, though it also lags a bit due to requiring internet for some reason, and the combat is extremely slow (though, it was also slow in the original 3D remake). I do personally think the combat would heavily benefit from a speed-up option. For now, I'd just recommend buying the original DS version, which is actually cheaper than this port.

This app is quite literally a port of the DS version of Final Fantasy III, which itself was a port of the original Japan-only Nintendo game. As far as ports of ports go, this one is better, with more intuitive touch controls and no useless Mognet "feature". The third installment in the Final Fantasy series is from early in the life of the franchise, which means that both the story and the gameplay are quite rudimentary. The job system is lots of fun, adding a level of strategy and replayability.
