* Permissions Notes *

- READ_CONTACTS is required to be able to include contact thumbnails in the created app, and then only if specified by the user
- WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE is required to put the new app on external storage (note: on some devices, 'external storage' is non-removable, which is also fine)
- WAKE_LOCK is required to stop the device sleeping while the app is being created
- created apps do not necessarily have these permissions, only the ones needed for the functions they use

Ratings and reviews

This worked months ago when i first discovered it, but i just tried now without success. From Tasker, i select a task, and select Export from the burger menu, then I select As App, but nothing else happens, no dialogue pops up like it used to. Tried rebooting phone, and reinstalling this app, no luck. Can anyone help? If so, I'll happily asjust the low score.

[UPDATE] App Factory now works perfectly and I am not running any beta releases. Joao seems to be sorting out the user experience by stages - Tasker should be a joy to use before long. [Original] Why can't I export an app unless running a beta version of Tasker? I signed up to the beta program, then all my Tasker plugins started asking for beta versions, permissions that didn't make sense and even repeat payments. I have no idea what's going on. Nothing makes me cry, but this is coming close!

Initially didn't work on my Galaxy S10+. I contacted the developer who got back to me within minutes. I passed on some information and within a few hours was sent an updated version which works perfectly. 5 stars for both the app which is incredibly useful and also the dev who exceeds all expectations. The store needs more apps and devs like this. Thank you :-)
