it's a no frills email client. it's nice to see something light weight but why the hell would you not have the option to log out if you're not going to put a password or pin limiting the app. all someone has to do to get access to your entire life is pick up your phone 🤷🏻‍♂️ *after messing around you can log out by "removing account" but somehow Google remembers you and doesn't ask for a password to reconnect the account. that seems crazy to me on Google's end as well but that's this timeline

Thank you for your feedback, and we understand your security concerns. We're exploring ways to make the app more secure, including password encryption. You can also show support for these and other security features at connect.mozilla.org.

I loved K-9 before this update. But now it's so hard to distinguish between my accounts in the menu. Before, I'd given each one a different profile pic and color, so I always knew which account I was looking at. They also appeared in a set order, so I could navigate easily. Now 4 of my 5 accounts are labeled "GM," and the highlight color is the same for all 5. What?! AND each time I open an account, the list order shifts, so they're never in a predictable order! Wish there were a way to revert.

Thanks for your feedback and we're sorry for any frustration over account icons and management. Improvements are coming in the 8.2 release to the current account initials. You can also help us test this and other changes in the K-9 Mail Beta. We hope this and future changes improve your experience!

UPDATE 7/28/21 What did you do!? So many options gone and seriously, no option to view ALL accounts at once?? This was by far the best client I had ever found and I've been a user for years. I agree with so many people here, it's just become just a other regular single account app with this update. :-( OLD: 5 stars - By far the best and most complete mail app I have come across. The ease of use and the ability to customize every little detail makes an unbeatable combo.
