The ads.... I just watched a 30-second ad to watch a 12-second clip. You get unskippable extremely long ads before any news clip, no matter how important. I do like the notifications (up until I click on one and have to watch aforementioned ads), and I like the actual anchors. That's about it so I'm deleting.

The app works, but it's slow, takes a long time for live weather feeds to load, and you have to wait 20-30 secs-it feels like, for an ad to play. Of course the app uses a lot of battery just playing an hour's worth of weather feed. When you're in the midst of severe weather and you're looking for updates as to when the tornado will pass by, you don't want to be looking around the app for the live feed, and then when it finally opens, you have to wait for an ad to play. Bad user experience.

I gave up local news yrs ago. Terrible, exploitative, racist frankly. When Covid hit, I started trying local news again. 11Alive is seriously the best--fact based, very little editorializing and sensational garbage. Surprisingly I've stuck with it. Really the best local news, even better than national news (gave that trash up yrs ago, too.) This app is pretty smooth and easy to use. Could use hella fewer add pop-ups.
