Ireland’s taxi driver check app is a service from the National Transport Authority that allows taxi users to verify that the vehicle they are about to hire is fully licensed and linked to the correct licensed driver. Users can search by the car registration number, the vehicle taxi licence number or the driver licence number. If information is incorrect, it’s possible to submit a report. There is also the facility to email a friend with trip details.

I was putting in numbers time and time again but when I tapped search nothing happened the search box cleared and returned to please insert number etc then by chance i put a number in i then removed the keyboard and tapped search and the driver information appeared maybe this might work for people who like me couldn't get it to work!

Useless, like most government apps.. If someone is connected to the Taxi number or reg, you get their info. Otherwise, you can't report a dodgy car or driver if they're not connected to the vehicle. There's a history button to save drivers, but it keeps resetting occasionally and info is lost. Pathetic

Still not working.... very poor. Utterly USELESS....Refuses to load!!!! 7/11/2025... Still won't load... keep up the good work lads
