There are constant scanning issues and technical issues. I lost out on 250 points today because of "technical issues." And that doesn't include the points I lost on scanning issues. Then, there are the "product not recognized" errors when the product scanned is absolutely correct. It use to be fun and proactive. Now, I spend three times the amount of time trying to scan with no results. Not sure what has happened but it certainly doesn't appear to be getting the attention of Shopkick.

Good way to earn points towards gift cards. Scanning the items can problematic sometimes though. Because of theft, so many items are in locked cases anymore. Every time I go into CVS, it seems like more items are locked up. You can't page a staff member to unlock the case just so you can scan the item to get kicks. It's good for the items that are out on the shelf.

Good app to earn gift cards. Stores like Walmart and Walgreens make you pick up the item to scan, which makes it impossible to scan when it's behind locked glass. As stores like Target, Krogers, and Meijer, let you scan the barcode on the shelf instead of the item. So the items behind lock glass still can be scanned. However, the kick gets lower when you get close to a gift card amount, and the app starts freezing and losing location in store. Even when you are on the stores Wi-Fi
