This app uses the VPNService to block known porn and malware sites, and to activate Safe Search in popular search engines. It does this by routing DNS requests through a filtering service (see cleanbrowsing.com). It does not actually create a VPN tunnel.

This app uses the Accessibility Services permission to automatically capture screenshots and scan them for pornography. The screenshots are scanned by AI and never leave your device. We also use the accessibility permission to ensure the blocker is not bypassed or disabled.

Listen, everything is great but there is a problem that occurs here and there. So, if i restart my phone and then go into "App Details" in settings (android phone btw) i can actually uninstall the app. Despite the fact it has "filetring" enabled and with 2 day long lock up. Idk if its a bug or if it may have been luck? I tried it a few times, but IT IS inconsistent id say... Not sure if the dev team can fix that

The send a message to a contact for a pin doesn't work. I never received the message when tested on someone's phone who selected me. Should be an option to have it unlockable, rather than a timer for it to be indefinitely unlocked. Have the option to choose this function, or choose the timer. Perhaps can be unlocked by a pin from someone else if needing to get rid of the app. But for someone to be able to ask for pin and then unlock without it, kinda defeats the purpose.

Love that its free! Really shows that the team is dedicated to helping you. With it being a VPN it also blocks any loopholes like going to Incognito mode. Definitely valuable when used alongside other blockers like "blocksite" [Edit] Changed my review as the new AI p*rn detector is a little too good, in that it blocks almost everything that might not be "racy content". [Edit] This is now resolved!

Thank you for using Bulldog Blocker! This update includes a new permission to disable battery restrictions which should help the app to run more reliably in the background. Bulldog Blocker only uses a tiny trickle of battery, usually around 1% of the total usage on your device. Never give up the fight against porn!
