Satellite & Doppler radar

Ratings and reviews

It was great until the last update. Now it is way harder to use the widget. Either one has create an account to add a place to favorites (it used to not require login), or allow the location access all the time. Until it is reverted, I guess I'm staying with standard weather widgets. It is really a pity, since the forecast models as well as the app itself are great.

I love Windy. Has a lot of useful data for comprehensive weather layers. I like the possibility of seeing relevant weather in different altitudes. Just missing the speed and fuel calculation tool for VFR route planning. Additionally I would prefer a better cloud storage for my routes planned on laptop. And maybe sooner or later the chill factor layer will also come up. Hope the premium app does not increase in price so much. Up to 10€pa I'll keep it.

Great app, but for the past few days, the widget keeps resetting to "Mount Vernon". We'll I'm in Shanghai and for the past years, the widget has shown that. Now only a refresh sets the GPS location. It seems that the widget is using the IP address (I must use a VPN because the app doesn't work on China without - why?) instead of GPS - but only since recently. Update: deleted & reinstalled, it's working normal again. Thanks to the developer, quick response!
