The app works well on my HTC Desire 526 as far as resolution goes. It has detail and the color is vibrant. On the other hand I can't access any of my stuff and the app seems to be void of any options other then spinning the earth around and zooming in and out. There are no options for Sky, Moon or Mars and it has no overlays for the ocean. All in all it's pretty disappointing but it's also Google, so hopefully it'll improve with time.
I am using Android 6.0.1. GPS doesn't work as it says Google earth was designed for older version of Android. GPS working fine with other apps. There is no issue of permission or cache partition or any other thing as I have tried every fix that is being advised at various forms. It does read my location correctly with Wi-Fi. 3 stars for otherwise good app. It doesn't crash with me (using note 5)
Amazing Google Earth is probably the most incredible FREE app out there. The world at your fingertips. Christopher Columbus would have loved it. Just like our planet, this is an ongoing project. To those who gave bad reviews - get a new device, as it's probably your phone that sucks. This app is amazing.
Horrible I don't know why I even wasted the time. App is crap. Can't do anything with this. Its useless. It crashes every 30 seconds! Thank god its free. I can't imagine paying for such a frustrating service. If someone can help fix the issues with this, that would be helpful. But I'm not expecting it.
Google Earth for the PC is the best free geographical program that there is. However, for Android the options for layers is terrible. Please continue developing this app with the PC version in mind. You should be making the layers options exactly the same. Limited?? Fine. But don't put roads and labels as one. Not seeing counties bordered and labeled frustrates me to no end
This is the most dumbed down way to look at google satellite maps ever imagined. There are no coordinates displayed.. even Google Maps will do this. I see no reason to use Google Earth over Google maps. Add some of the basic functionality from the desktop versions of Google Earth and it might be worth the download.
What's new in 8.0.0
* Enhanced user interface, menu changes and simplified layers panel with new Photos layer
* Improved styling for roads and labels, smoother transitions
* Support for Google Drive (view KML/KMZ files)
