Ratings and reviews

The idea of bereal is great and I use it on a daily basis. However, the app is bugging lately: I get the bereal notification but if I click on it, the app goes blank and doesn't respond. After restarting it several times, maybe I manage to have it running back again but it can't take a picture most of the times, so I need to repeat it several times until the app finally manages to take a pic at the end. I find it so annoying, specially given that there were also severe bugs back in February

Since the latest update, every time I click on notifications or go to open the app I get a black screen. I have to close it and reopen it multiple times on most occasions in order for it to work properly. Additionally, I dislike that various companies, particularly clothing brands, and influencers were added and are being advertized for. I think it takes away from the original concept for the app. Aside from those issues I love the platform, it's a fun way to see what your friends are up to.

We downloaded this app as a family, and it was a lovely way to keep in touch. Now, it's just disappointing and will be looking for an alternative. Never, not rarely, works, impossible to open the app when the time to take your BeReal happens, hangs on black screen, then BeReal screen. If you're lucky, you can take a photo later in the day. Yes I've Googled fixes, no they don't work.
