1. Launch Iriun Webcam app on your phone
2. Start Iriun Webcam Server on your PC
3. The phone is connected automatically to your PC using wireless WiFi network and the camera is ready to use.
4. Configure your desktop application to use Iriun Webcam as source for audio and video

Struggling with a glitch or something that suddenly made my camera appear much darker. Good thing I was testing my camera before a work meeting, not uninstalling but I hope this doesn't happen often. It's still messed up even after restarting everything, and only for the front camera.

This app is friggin' great. I imagined downloading it and then spending a day figuring out how to get the laptop and cell phone connected. But no need. I literally fired up the cell phone app, fired up the laptop app, and started seeing big, crisp, live video! ETA: I'm using the app to monitor my 3D printer. I frequently print at night and I don't want to keep all the lights on. So I bought the Pro version of Iriun just now for $5.49 one-time payment, and does everything I need!

Good app. Simple and straightforward. A great feature to consider would be the option to use the phone's screen as a variable light source for the camera (intensity/colourtemp). That would add unique functionality. With your phone on a bendy desk mount you'd have a smart piece of kit.
