iSMS2droid can restore all your SMS texts and iMessages from an Apple iPhone backup into Android's messaging app - FOR FREE!

Please be aware that this app only works with unencrypted SMS databases. If you have encryption enabled for your backups, disabled it and create a new backup - you can of course enable encryption again after the import.

Step 1) Check https://isms2droid.com for detailed instructions on how to get your iPhone SMS database, then copy it via USB cable/Dropbox/etc. onto your Android phone.

Step 2) Start iSMS2droid and tap on "Import Messages" to select your iPhone SMS database file.

Step 3) Choose if you want to import all messages, or select specific conversations by contact.

Step 4) Rate or review this app on Google Play if you are happy with it.

Saved my digital bacon. Because of reasons, I had to find a way to try and import my iPhone messages again. The only hard part was getting the iPhone backup through iTunes since I use Ubuntu now. Everything went smoothly and I happily have my entire SMS history for my loved ones. It's hard to believe that Android only gives you one shot during setup to import you messages so this app is truly amazing. If I wasn't unemployed I would gladly donate. Maybe I can help with development!

Absolutely, utterly brilliant. Caution though - if you are not familiar with things like displaying hidden folders on your PC etc, you may get in trouble. But if you read the instructions carefully, the transfer of your texts will just happen, and you will be free of Apple's shackles forever. I spent hours trying different apps, procedures and cables to get the texts over to the shiny new Android from the ghastly iPhone, and was ready to give up - now it's all done. Thank you :-D

The app works! I was able to transfer all my iOS messages, although I wasn't able to find the file for the call logs, apple could've just changed it but I'm not worried about call logs too much. There is also a privacy concern since it can see all the text messages in the file but it's better than nothing! Thanks for your hard work on this app developer! I would recommend!
