Really good app, shame everything had to be paid for now. The data was accurate and the app very good but being that I only fly once or twice a year then subscription model doesn't fit nicely. Would have been nice to have been warned about upcoming changes as well, I only found out when doing preflight checks. Shame to see it go.

Thank you for your feedback, Chris. We understand the subscription model may not suit infrequent flyers. We apologize for not communicating the changes better. The NFZ map remains free, and we offer affordable options for occasional use. For your next flight, consider a free trial by emailing freetrial@uavforecast.com. We appreciate your support!

It WAS great. Back in my day, it was free. Oddly for a long period, running successful, until now. Lovely to see they have employed someone full-time to respond to frustrated one star reviews! Maybe, take real feedback onboard and really make a change! Seriously, this was fantastic BECAUSE it was free, somehow your mistake in wanting to charge, has been overlooked in the boardroom. Epic Failure š P.s. I would take an option to donate, but a subscription. This is not a streaming service!

Thank you for your feedback, Mike. We understand your frustration with the change. Our decision to introduce subscriptions was to ensure we can continue improving the app. We still offer the NFZ map for free, and our subscriptions are competitively priced. For a free trial of full features, email freetrial@uavforecast.com.

The free version no longer seems to work. The app just shows you a preview of some other location, not your own. It definitely could be worth upgrading if you're flying on a regular basis, but the official FAA apps have all the same information, minus some of the extended forecast information, so I recommend just using those.

Thanks for your feedback. You're right - we now require a subscription for real-time forecasts, though our NFZ map remains free. While FAA apps show basic weather, UAV Forecast provides unique features like winds at altitude, GPS satellites, and Kp index forecasts. We offer free trials - email freetrial@uavforecast.com to try it out!
