When on the road, the Autel Charge application offers the following features:
• Start and stop charging using your Autel Charge card or by scanning the QR code on the public charger.
• Displays the availability status of public chargers on the map. (available, in-use, out of order, etc.)
• Filter chargers displayed on the map by desired connector types.
• Filter by required charging power on the map.
• View site information within the map including pictures, address, energy prices, hours of operation, quantity of chargers and connectors.
• Navigate to a desired site using the integrated navigation map.
• Link your credit card to streamline the payment process using public chargers.
• Scan QR code to start and stop the charger with just one tap.

Ratings and reviews

As confirmed by Autel support, this app is pretty useless for all but initial configuration, as it only supports Bluetooth. Once out of Bluetooth range, the app will show "disconnected," even with the charger wired via Ethernet to the same LAN as your device. So unless your living spaces are close to the charger, you'll not be able to monitor or control it. Furthermore, if using a 3rd party OCPP server (participate in utility's discount program), great features like RFID locking are disabled.

Least intuitive software ever. Scheduler is literally hidden. Car starts charging whenever you plug in the charger. You have to manually stop it. The dashboard should have a simple button to go to the schedule. Autel coders should look at a simple $20.00 aquarium heater for scheduler interface. Being new to EVs I got sucked into the charger. All I really needed was to install the 50 amp receptacle (that was needed anyway) and then use the car's onboard scheduler to start/stop charging...

Don't waste your money buying this EV charger; it's an absolute waste of time. When trying to set it up, you have to contact customer service for a PIN. By the way, if your app gets updated or you get a new phone, you'll have to contact customer service again for another PIN, which is really annoying. The other thing is, this charger doesn't even pair properly with the app. The first time around, the app worked just fine until I got a new phone, and now it doesn't want to pair with it.
