Zoiper is a standalone VoIP softphone and does not include a calling service. You must have a SIP or IAX account with a VoIP provider.
Do not use Zoiper as your default dialer; it may interfere with emergency calls (e.g. 911).

Ratings and reviews

I've run Zoiper on Windows and Android with both FreePBX with pretty good results. It's easy to setup, responsive, and isn't a terrible battery hog. It handles hand-off (Wifi to Cellular) pretty gracefully while on a call and supports a wide range of codecs. I briefly trialed the Sibscription version only to be told the features I wanted/needed were only available with an ADDITIONAL premium subscription. I went back to FREE. I had to un/reinstall after the trial to get it working again.

Using with Dial 9 and works mostly but has a tendency to drop calls as soon as I answer them. Sound quality can be iffy and sometimes there's a lot disruption. Not able to block calls either which is a pity. Looking for more reliable alternative

I have been using the beta version of this software for some time now and I'm very happy with it. Friendly user interface and lots of tweaks in Settings ! It is now April 2026 and I'm still using it ....that says it all ! I have found the call clarity to be exceptionally good.
