📊 BATTERY USE
 
AccuBattery measures the actual battery usage using information from the battery charge controller. Battery usage per app is determined by combining these measurements with information on which app is in the foreground. Android calculates battery usage using pre-baked profiles that device manufacturers provide, like how much power the CPU uses. In practice however, these numbers tend to be highly inaccurate.

I really love this app. And one of the few which I bothered to pay for premium just to support the developer and have no ads. Still a few points to mention. I would really love a way to export the statistics from the app to a txt file or even excel. I think many geeks like myself would love this option. Second thing which has bothered me, app sometimes force closes (probably due to memory management, my phone has 4 gb ram), but the problem is that it does not autostart. I don't know if it is a bug or not, but the app should automatically start everytime it closes. Still the best battery app on android so far. One more thing, the developer has a special page where it explains what you need to do to get a correct battery capacity estimation. Check that out. Most short charges of 20-80% will not give a correct battery estimation of your total capacity.

This app extended the life of my phone with at least two years by keeping the battery wear to a minimum. Two annoyances: 1) The alarm which signals the 75% full level regularly only vibrates and doesn't sound. This has caused me to miss the signal and therefore charging the battery more than I wanted (defeating the whole purpose why I bought this app). 2) You cannot reset the health measurements. The last three years the health was stuck at 96%.

If charging up to 80% is recommended, this app is accurate and convenient to use. Some android phones are capable of setting this maximum charge from the settings after a restart, other don't and for those, this app is a good tool to make sure you do not over charge (up to 100%) ensuring your non replaceable battery will last much longer and therefore your phone.
