So they finally fixed the app, so it is usable again(not sure when). But I'm not a fan of the layout still. I prefer to download my books and not stream, and they make it hard to do that unless you dig. There is no way to select just 1 book and stay on that or easily resume play if you close out the app. You have to remember which book(if you have many) you were listening to. So, while it's great to have the app back in service the interface NEEDS MORE WORK!

Use Smart Audiobook Player instead. I've been using Christian Audio for years and CA has never had a good app, nothing comparable to any basic audio app today. Functionality has always been minimal (the latest doesn't even have a bookmark feature), glitchy (audio randomly stops or skips around), and you'll inevitably get error messages when trying to do otherwise simple things like download a book. I recommend downloading your audio files and using Smart Audiobook Player instead.

This app does actually let you listen to your audiobooks (most of the time), which I'm thankful for in itself. It doesn't have a Now Playing button, menu, or section. When you open it up again, you have to find the last book from the list. Sorting by most recent is helpful. No option for only showing downloaded books. Most times when I open the app, even when listening already, it will pause and won't play until I select the chapter again, which resets it. Why can't it remember?
