Great idea for a service! Loved the free trial. Didn't mind the retention deal. But IMO, definitely not worth the full price because the demand for good/new games is always high and shipping times take too long. It can take 7 days for something to get to you and then another 7 if it's lost in the mail. It takes me longer to get a game than to platinum it. I don't mind waiting, I mind paying for it. Public library gives me the same experience but I don't have to pay for that.

Update: On top of that it is now easier to get access to new games. Easy layout, nice sized list of games, and a OK delivery system, I think needs a little tweaking on the receiving end of operations. Update: The new UI is works really well with even low end Samsung phones and the tabs to different features have been placed on the visible home screen of the app. Still remains at 4 stars till some note worthy changes happen.

Update 2: Another terrible patch for this app. Now the news feed defaults to the following tab, and you can't turn this off even if you aren't following games. I don't want news only on certain games I "follow". I want the top new on all games. Updated review: After turning off screenshots and videos in the news feed options, the feed is better. I still prefer the old news feed, but thus isn't as bad as I initially thought. Gamefly as a service, though, is too notch if you play lots of games. I've been a member for 10 years.

Hello. If you prefer, you can turn off Screenshots and Videos (tap the Gear icon in the top-right corner) for All Games - that will revert to the original News layout. Unfortunately GameFly does not have control over the news stories. Our news section is powered by GameSpot.com which is a well known reliable news source.
