After last OS update, the new mail notification badge appears UNLESS I go to settings/notifications then click "off", exit email, go back into email and do all this again but this time clicking "on". This is nuts! This app has worked great since I bought my first Galaxy, an S4. Please fix this! Others have the same issue. And why am I suddenly getting spam emails in my unread items that are three months old?? And were marked as spam at the time???

This app is killing my battery life because its constantly running in the background trying to sync my emails. Every time I drag down my notifications bar I see "1 app running in the background" along with a "synching email" notification. I then have to force it to stop running. Multiple times each day. I've uninstalled/reinstalled and nothing changed. I see people mentioning that they've turned the notification off, but that only takes the problem out of sight, out of mind. The app still runs

Ever since the last update the app constantly runs in the background and is constantly attempting to sync. An icon shows up un the notification bar that says "synching emails" but it does not go away. I've been able to get the notification to go away by toggling the "sync email notifications" off and back on in the notification channel settings. The notification comes back within hours and the app is still constantly running in the background no matter what I do. Battery drains, phone is hot.
