The increasing evidence for bedside ultrasound and the continued evolution of smaller and more portable devices has ushered in a new era of fast, reliable and accurate assessment of patients at the bedside. Ultrasound has applications head to toe (literally) and will be relevant to you whether you are a medical student, resident, nurse or physician.

Sono is a free and open source app developed by medical students, residents and faculty at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University. With representation from Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Anesthesia, Internal Medicine and Surgery, WesternSono is the hub for Point-of-Care Ultrasound training, education and research at Western University in London, ON, Canada.
