I've used this system for a few months now and I love it! It's accurate, easy to use and very portable. I like that it doesn't look at all like a glucose meter. Like most people with diabetes, I can to a test real fast and since this looks nothing like conventional devices no one knows what I'm doing. I never hide my diabetes, but I don't want to advertise it either. The only fault I've found so far, and this fault is in all meters, is not being able to test when it's cold out. But since no meter works when it's cold this isn't unusual. My phone case is one of those with card slots, so after a test I just put the strip in the top of one of the slots and bring it home to put in my sharps container. Like one other poster, I would like to be able to delete individual test results. But like most people with diabetes I have more that one device and the people you meet who always want to be tested, I do on a separate device. Short review is, you must be technically literate to use this device and as long as it's warm enough, it works great.
This app has revolutionized the way I manage my diabetes. It's wonderfully simple and intuitive, and yet offers lots of options alongside blood glucose measurements, which can be as detailed as you like - from entering the carbohydrate intake, to selecting exactly what you are eating from a huge database, as well as how much insulin you are taking (which it can also calculate for you), details about exercise, your moods, activities, etc., which are all very helpful to determine what factors influence glucose levels. And this is where Dario really comes into its own, offering many different ways to view how all these factors come together in the various charts available, which are a great way to analyse your results. Dario takes this a step further, by allowing you to share your results with anyone you like, such as warning family members about any low glucose episodes, or letting your doctor view results to help determine the best treatment. In summary Dario has transformed the way I deal with my condition and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
Worked well for a week then took 4 attempts to get a reading.. frustrating and painful when having to get a result. Kept getting message not enough blood when there was a lot on it.. plus inaccurate readings.. very disappointed because its a handy little monitor...
I've been using it for over a year now and for the most part, I love it. I have two issues: first, I would like to be able to delete a blood glucose number (I am able to delete insulin records or food logs just not blood glucose). My husband used it a couple times and I am unable to remove his numbers so it is affecting my averages etc. You should be able to delete if needed. Second is that I wish it linked with My Fitness Pal. As someone who is already logging all food journaling with MFP (as recommended by Dr), I don't want to have to enter everything on multiple apps. It would be nice if Dario could pull info from MFP
I have been using it for close to a year. Until recently it was amazing. I love the freedom and compact design. It was not working recently so I reinstalled and all seemed to be fine. For the past two days it has not got past "connecting" even with 4 reinstalls and restarting my phone 3 times. It is very unfortunate that I am forced to abandon this app.
The device itself is verry nice unit, The APP is a totsl POS, you can't select the measuring units, it give you the measuring units acording to the cfc of your phone... why can i just click the checkbox with the measuring units i want ?? I use a us bought phone on Canada, i must not be the only one. Forcing a measuring units by the cfc is stupid and should not be done. Can't use the App : can't use the product... bye bye Dario.
