Proshot may be fine but Google Pixel Pro 9 I run it on is garbage. It is not a camera. It is an AI tool for content that's worth nothing more than half-hearted likes on social media. It BS. Even in manual mode the camera software settings won't lock in. They jump all over. I used it for online product photography and it is nearly impossible to get consistent shots. Even under the same lighting. If you want to LARP photography, fine. This toy is a costume accoutrement.

Hello, I am sorry to hear you're running into issues. Generally, Pixels ship with quite a few camera issues around launch, and then Google eventually irons them out. If you believe there is something I can address through software, please send me an email and I'd be glad to work with you to find a solution: support@riseupgames.com

Evaluator worked. But I wanted to do a time-lapse of the comet with cloud motion and environment. It said it could do up to 50 second exposure. I didn't need that but the native app can do 30 second. I needed about 10 second exposure. It kept erroring at 10 but worked at 8 second. I got 40 frames and now it won't do long exposure at all. Since it took more than two hours to discover the failure I'm now out the cost of a mostly useless app even as I'm discovering more failures.

Hello, I am very sorry to hear that. For longer shutter speeds, some devices have a "cooldown" period. If your timelapse interval does not account for this, the timelapse may stop running. Samsung actively blocks third party apps from accessing long shutter speeds, but in most cases ProShot can get around it. Finding max SHR on it requires testing.

I'm very happy with this app. I bought it because I wanted more pro controls than Google Camera gives on a Pixel 7a, and it definitely delivered. I was worried that as it isn't designed specifically for Pixel phones like the stock camera app, it might give lower quality images, but that hasn't been a problem. The UI was slightly complicated at first, but after watching the tutorial and using the app for a while, I would say its actually quite well designed for how many options it has.
