Ratings and reviews

Picked up some SYLVANIA smart bulbs from a bargain store and the low app rating made me worried they wouldn't work. But whatever issue happened 2yrs ago with the app is definitely fixed now because setup was a breeze - I use Spectrum Internet and the Spectrum app lets you swap to 2.4hz for 30min in router settings, FYI. Do that, turn on Bluetooth and the device pops up. The bulbs are so bright and the app makes them so versatile I wish I'd bought more!

7/13/22 patch has rendered the app inoperable. Alexa/Google Assistant still work for those of you also experiencing this. Update (7/19): app dev clearly not planning on fixing this if they're sending out canned responses directing you to their troubleshoot page. The issue isn't connecting devices to the app, it's getting the app to even open. Never buying Sylvania again and I can't wait to replace all of these with a brand I can trust. I see now why they were the cheaper option available.

I think I'd give this a zero if I could. The app doesn't work/load any more, there are no updates apparently and while the lights still work with Google Home, there's no way to change anything without the app working. I can see why the rating on this now is so low. Now to figure out either how to update routines from the web, or completely re-invest in a competitor's product.
