About this app

Monitoring your pet's breathing rate can be an important part of managing their health. Pet Breath Counter is here to help.

Features:
- Automated breathing counter, simply tap once for each breath and breathing rate will be calculated for you
- Save records for multiple pets
- View records in list or graph formats
- Share records as a list or a graph

To generate consistent results, monitor your pet's breathing rate while they are sleeping. The sleeping breathing rate for most dogs and cats should be less than 30 breaths per minute.
Please contact your vet if you are concerned about your pet's health.

Pet Breath Counter was developed by UK veterinary surgeon, Dr Katie Struthers VetMB MA MRCVS.

I feel like I would prefer this over other popular breathing apps out there. What I like about this is the ability to view the data daily, weekly, or monthly. It displays the notes you add for easy viewing. However, what really doesn't make sense is why the x axis labels don't start with the first data point. It starts with the beginning of the day and no way to adjust range. It ends up shrinking the data that it is hard to identify trends. Please add this feature! Thanks.

It's decent and fairly easy to use but here is a couple of things for the dev to consider; 1. When viewing the data as a graph, would be nice if we could zoom in to adjust ranges within the set ranges (daily/weekly/monthly) OR at least if it would auto-adjust to the range that actually contains data. 2. When you are taking a breath but back up because something got messed up during the measurements, it brings you back to the last measurement. Then it either asks you to cancel or resave; if you resave, it creates a double data point, and asking to cancel after that data point has already being saved is redundant. 3. Finally, would be nice if one could export the data to a .csv file. 4. Oh, also a little unclear about how the timer starts; should you start it on one completed breath (then it starts counting forward), or should you start it on the start of a breath (I know it says 'click once per full breath', but it looks like it starts the timer after).

This would be perfect if I could set a reminder to my notification bar (which is what I'm looking for). I'm supposed to do this daily to monitor my dog, but will forget. Otherwise it's a nice straightforward app. Only what you need, none of what you don't.
