About this app

ProShot Evaluator is a free tool for evaluating the capabilities of the cameras on your device, and reports which features are supported by ProShot. This includes information about lenses, image sensor, RAW (DNG) support, manual controls (focus, ISO, shutter, white balance), video formats and more. It also includes the option to sample ProShot's UI in real-time on your device to visualize how camera settings are organized and accessed.

Note: permission requests are entirely optional, but may produce more accurate readings.

PROS: - gives various information about your hardware - one of the best pro camera UIs i've tested. easy controls. CONS: (for the trial app) - (photo) i can't test "shutter-to-capture" lag because the app doesn't let you press the shutter. it's a deal breaker for me because i'm looking for a low lag app for quick capture (street and candid photography) CONS: - (video) it's not possible to have auto ISO and a fixed shutter speed. it is a no go for me the app is pretty good though! give it a try

Hello, unfortunately Google's Camera API does not allow for shutter priority. I was able to create a workaround for ProShot to enable it for Photo mode, but it sadly cannot be used for video mode. I wish I had a better answer for you!

kind of useless when you can't actually take a picture and save it to compare to the native pixel app. silly me. I thought I could take one or two pictures and then compare it to the regular pixel pictures to see if I wanted to pay for this app but that's not possible. you can just look at the live screen

Heard of ProShot, but it has no trial mode. This is the next best thing as it will tell you whether it's compatible with your phone and lists everything that's available at a glance. Too bad it is so crippled with the Google Pixel 9 Pro camera, the lack of HDR and lack of 50MP mode makes it unfortunately useless to me. Shame on Google for locking its camera hardware!
