Hitman Go is the kind of game that, if not for the mobile space, you would only see on the NES or ancient PC's. It is a game that takes the core mechanics of the Hitman games- stealth, dodging guards, assassinations, and disguises- and distills them into their purest, most abstract form. Adding to its old school appeal is the fact that there's no story, no tutorial, no text whatsoever! Plus, the board game aesthetic is super creative, and really adds to the feeling of the game being a miniaturized abstraction of Agent 47's assassin hijinks. Intuitive pick up and play controls and great puzzle design make this one of the best games on mobile.

Hitman go has a stylish appearance that compromises readability. The camera plays against you, constantly moving in too close and limiting visibility of the board, if you zoom out is hard to read the elements of the board. The controls are not good either. Tomb raider fixed the camera angle and allowed you to drag anywhere on the screen to move, here we have to drag the character, already uncomfortable as it is the camera shifting all the time doesn't help. Good puzzles though.

Got this game on sale for $0.99, but I feel that it would have been worth it even at the full asking price. The mechanics are very simple, but the puzzles are complex enough to keep you interested. And for the completionists out there - each level has different challenges, such as no kills, kill everyone, maximum number of moves, retrieve a briefcase to bring to the the exit, etc.
