If it wasn't such a money grab, it would be a great app still frustrated with the constant ads. Including milestones that the only way to complete is to purchase packs is discerning to general players and reinforces the only way to be competitive is to spend money. It seems now that scopley has completely alienated the F2P as they put new characters out of reach unless paid for. The milestones are also impossible to complete without forking over money.

All I want to say is they have a lot they need to work on... They add OCs instead of actual important characters like Blade, Medusa, Gorgon, or Professor X, and they make a lot of things cost real life money. They've made it more and more pay to win over the past couple of years and it, unfortunately, has made the experience of this game decline in enjoyability and it doesn't seem like they're going to turn it around any time soon with the amount of in-game purchases, + how expensive these are.

Have played for a while now. The game is increasingly moving to a pay to play model. Game was fun to play. Easy to lose track of time fighting through a different game modes. I've spent around $600. Looking back, it's not worth it. Each new character release is more convoluted and more expensive. I am not against paying for entertainment, but I refuse to support a predatory monetization model. Free to sample. Pay to actually play.
