The app gets worse with every update. The last update has all but broken Android Auto functionality. It was bad enough prior when you couldn't see a full list of artists and now they've broken the playlist functionality as well so now you can't even use that. Their suggested work around is to use someone else's app for a product that they maintain and that app that they recommend isn't even free or open source.

Love Jellyfin overall, but Android App needs improvement. Can Connect to public IP address of my home Internet, remotely, to watch shows and movies away from home. However, if you sign out or it losses connection due to poor signal or app issues, you can't sign in again using the same public IP address to connect to home network when away. Workaround was to go to my Android phone settings on the app and click clear storage. Then signing in works again. Love Jellyfin and hope this gets fix.

Great DIY media server client! Coming from Plex, Jellyfin has been an empowering experience while recreating my media server. This app seems to work well so far too. Streaming and downloading content has worked without any major issues. I haven't tried casting to a TV yet, but it seems to have that functionality. All the server customizing features have a bit of a learning curve though. Naming my files to be identified correctly was a bit of a hassle for example.
