Ratings and reviews

The newest update is completely broken. The new interface is much less intuitive than the old one and most of the basic navigation of media just doesn't work. The season navigation for TV shows no longer works, clicking the buttons does nothing, the synopsis doesn't update as you scroll through episodes and when you click to play an episode it will often play a different episode. Many things just won't play at all. I have been using Plex for 4 years and am extremely disappointed

I've been pretty happy with Plex overall over the years (lifetime subscription). I'm very disappointed in the new update/layout of Plex done in 2025. I really dislike that I now have to have an additional two separate apps for photos and music now, so three Plex apps total. No way to add movies to a playlist. Definitely a big step backwards in my opinion.

Does what it says on the tin, but every progressive update broke more features to the point that it wouldn't play files that there had previously been no issue with. I didn't want to change to another app as I purchased a lifetime subscription (you li e & you learn). Managed to install a long previous version (10.26.0.2578) & disable auto-update. Issues are addressed. If I were looking to set up a media server today, I'd look elsewhere.
