gStrings is a chromatic tuner application measuring sound pitch and intensity. This is the ad supported version.

It will let you tune any musical instrument (violin, viola, violoncello, bass, guitar, piano, wind instruments, your own voice/singing).

Features include:

2. support for user-defined custom tunings,
3. a long list of built-in temperaments (just, pythagorean, meantone, comma, etc.),

I have a blind bass player so I thought I'd setup the sound feedback system. That part works great once you get through the very painful talktext system. If you turn that off, the sounds get removed from the app... Would be so nice to just set it up to tune and then put next to our blind bass player so he can tune his bass (using headphones).

i've been using this app for years and years and generally pleased with it working as a backup tuner for when my clip on runs out of charge or i forget to bring it, but i was trying to use it right now and no can do, there's a popup telling me i need to consent for the app to give/sell my data to advertisers. and honesly, i'm absolutely fine with having ads in a free app, but i'm not interested in paying for the ad free backup turner, and i do not want my data sold to advertisers. uninstalling.

It was working the first time I installed it for my 16 string Cega lyre. It's not working now. I will pluck a string and it will either show me something like A1 when I don't even have that string or I will pluck a string and the tuner will show the right string then go immediately to the 1s and I'm so frustrated. I've tried to reinstall it, but the same problem remains.
