update: gives trouble when shazaming a song via headphones.(too many steps etc). when a song is discovered it skips to random parts in the lyrics & it's not synced at all! when you scroll back to where the song truly is, it flips right back. It's frustrating. old: handy but nowhere near reliable at times. App failed to Shazam MULTIPLE Britney Spears' hits. I think that's crazy lol. Unlocking my phone to shazam is annoying! I do like the sign in & save ft, dark mode & when lyrics are available

It's a good app. That is until the last update. Now, it's not able to recognize songes until multiple play throughs, if at all. Most of the time, it doesn't even recognize the correct song and brings up some, not very good, indy, rap, or electronic that isn't known. 100% of are bad. When I tried to get support on it, I was sent to the User Guide on the Apple web page with no option for actual support.

Great otherwise, but this one issue is plaguing my phones for years and I want devs to fix this. Shazam floating button detects a track and launches floating lyrics for it. when you try to drag the button to the buttom trash to make it go away, it leaves the floating lyrics behind. That stays and hinders the normal phone use, esp messing the keyboard usage as you can't press a button that's behind the floating lyrics box. Killing the app doesn't help. The only workaround is to restart the phone.

What’s new

You can now choose how Shazam listens when wired or wireless headphones are connected for even more accurate results. Select the Headphones icon to identify music playing in your favorite apps, including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
