No more hunting online for outage reports. Easier than checking multiple communication source issues, love being able to save top 3 services (after a nominal fee to deactivate ads) for an at-a-glance screen. Notifications available for top 3 for any outages, too. Will be saving screenshots next time I get a customer service rep trying to tell me they aren't having any issues, when I've already done my due diligence of rebooting my router, etc. I haven't tried the VPN yet, but probably will soon.

Works ok for the most part. Many providers ( canada at least ) perform network configurations to make this app report as well as can be given the testers connection. For example I have a 500GB cap monthly and if I go over the cap my speed is reduced to avoid overage. This app however during those times will show full speed so you can see there is at least some trickery. Generally I use this app to find out when my connection ( wireless ) is slow due to weather conditions. Yet this app will sometimes show high while the actual data I wish to use is coming in slow. When I play games sometimes the connections drop but a VPN can get me around this, I assume this to be the same with the speed test. Some form of traffic shaping or whatever. In general a good app but many providers can and do skew the results.

I'm tired of these companies just straight up lying to get location access. The web version works just fine on phone as it does on a computer (which does not have GPS). But oh you *need* the location, and only the precise one will do, can't be thinking you're a block away if using approx one! 🙄🙄🙄 No link to their privacy policy on that page either - because then people might read it!But it says right in the play store they sell said location data so ya no thanks, too shady.
