1. Can I use my phone contacts?
Yes, but you have to make sure that all phone numbers are saved in international format: country code + phone number.

2. How much data does the app use for an online call?
On average, the app uses approximately 1MB/min for making a voice call. In order to benefit from the highest quality available, we advise you to use the application with a WiFi network. Any costs resulting from using the application with mobile data networks when you call internationally are not covered by us.

3. Which countries & operators support mobile top-ups?
You can send top-ups to 150+ countries and mobile operators around the world. Simply browse through the list of available destinations; once you select your desired country, the available operators will be displayed.

4. What is a travel eSIM and how does it work?
A travel eSIM is a digital SIM card that allows you to access mobile data in other countries without needing a physical SIM. Instead of inserting a plastic card, you download a profile to your phone. It works by connecting your device to local mobile networks in your destination country, providing you with affordable data at more cost-effective rates than traditional international roaming.

Ratings and reviews

Billing is not transparent. Every call to the AI operator bills your available credit, irrespective of whether your call gets connected to the actual number or not. So, dial a few times without success and your credit is almost gone. Plus, the bill sent after a credit top up does not display the extra transaction fee (2$ or 2€) charged on your payment card.

The call quality is decent, but the app underwent dramatic enshittification recently. The home page was a list of my favorite contacts, now it's a list of services I can buy. The favorites list is gone completely. The list of recent calls got erased. The old UI was user-centric, the new UI is anything but. Even when I select a phone number, the options are to call and to refill the account.

lLast update removed the speed dial option. Very disappointing. Update: in addition to this, the quality of the calls went down after the last update. To the point that I started again using another VOIP app since while using KeepCalling it was completely impossible to sustain a normal conversation
