I loved it, then all my important notes disappeared! apparently no record of my email, so no simple "renew my password". Just all gone. I am devastated! I guess I will have to find something that I can back up myself. For this important reason, I cannot recommend Workflowy.

you can stop looking. this is THE BEST notes app. free tier is great with no ads and no major limitations.

Awesome flat view infinite depth list app. I've used todoist for years and they've ruined the mobile app. So I finally was fed up enough with todoist and jumped ship to workflowy which my wife has been using for a couple years now and loves. I love the simplicity and ui of workflowy so i figured out how to write a script to import my todoist csv exports and maintain indentation and finally wrote an alexa skill to add notes by voice. I think I've finally found my perfect todo list solution.

2025.21 Numbered Lists, Calendar Polishing, Nips and Tucks

- Numbered List: long requested by the very organized WorkFlowy user, you can now easily turn any item into a Numbered list! (find it in the Item menu or Slash Command '/number');
- Calendar: we've polished the Calendar again to smooth off some rough little edges;
- Boards UI Improvements: we polished the look and feel of Boards (+ fixed the sub-column padding issue, numbered lists display and arrow positioning on mobile);
