Ratings and reviews

AP used to function just fine on my Samsung Galaxy Z6 Flip. Now, when I open the app, the homepage works fine, but if I click on an article to read, the app freezes and will not scroll up or down. After a few seconds of trying to scroll, it will simply crash. I've checked for updates, uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared cache and data, and always get the same results. I guess I'm on the hunt for another reliable news source with a functional app.

The news is ok, but what is really annoying is the advertisements that seem to insert into the feed as you are reading, meaning everything jumps and you have to find your place again. As you scroll up or down the adverts will suddenly insert themselves, following your scrolling of the feed, moving all the surrounding text as this happens. I can't use an app that does that, it's like reading a paper and someone ripping it away from you, and having to search for your lost place again.

Regarding just the app: it NEEDS custom notification settings. If I'm being inundated with notifications and can't choose what I want to see, I'm disinclined to read any of it. I want to choose what I care about the most. Instead, I had to turn off ALL notifications. News is important, but only when you can actually read it.

This update fixes a bug where notification category selections were being reverted and notifications not being received. We've also brought some more polish to the UI, made a few small updates to the widgets, and squashed some bugs.
