App permissions:

Sky Map has no required permissions. Each permission below is optional — you may refuse any of them and still use the app. Nothing is requested at startup; each is asked for only when you first use the feature that needs it, and each can be withdrawn separately in your device settings.
⭐ Location (optional) — used to draw the sky for where you are. Refuse it and you can enter a place name or coordinates by hand instead. Your location never leaves your device.
⭐ Camera (optional) — used only by through-camera mode, which overlays the sky on the live camera view. Refuse it and every other mode works as normal. The image is never recorded or transmitted.
⭐ Notifications (optional) — used only to tell you about meteor-shower peaks and tonight's sky, if you ask for them. They stay off until you turn them on.

The best tool of any stargazer.... I've had this app for years and absolutely love it. Pick a star in the sky, any star, point your phone towards it and the app tells you it's name, you can identify stars, planets, constellations, etc with great ease. You can also enter the name of the celestial body you want to see and the app will guide you towards it. It has several cool features including time travel which has made me fall in love with it. Highly recommended for stargazers!

This is by far the best application out there, just one suggestion. PLEASE add option for people to click on something and get information about it!! Like distance from earth, atmosphere, moons, temperature, size comparison, etc. It will help all of us to know more!! Other wise this application has no issues of any kind!

Really amazing app. One day, i was lying on my terrace and watching the stars. I was wondering what their names.. i just went through playstore to check if any app available. And then I found SKYMAP . Installed it and to my surprise, it showed me the details. Really amazing app. Very fast and accurate. Enough options. Easy to use.
