Orbot is a free VPN and proxy app that empowers other apps to use the internet more securely. Orbot uses Tor to encrypt your Internet traffic and then hides it by bouncing through a series of computers around the world. Tor is free software and an open network that helps you defend against a form of network surveillance that threatens personal freedom and privacy, confidential business activities and relationships, and state security known as traffic analysis.

Orbot is the only app that creates a truly private internet connection. As the New York Times writes, “when a communication arrives from Tor, you can never know where or whom it’s from.”

Tor won the 2012 Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) Pioneer Award.

It's okay. Like others have said, this app seemingly stops mid-use and the flow of bandwidth is usually slow. I think there needs to be some obvious bug fixes, a user guide built into the app with some basics know-hows and a rebrand. How about "Orbot: Tor VPN" it tells users it's a VPN immediately. Until then, there are better, free VPN apps to use. Hopefully people start updating this app. EDIT: Thanks for listening! Descriptions are in app and it streams 720 video with minimal buffering! 4/5

Hello, I don't know what to say, I'm from Iran. You know we are under severe filtering and no VPN works. The internet is under the most severe filtering, google Play was filtered and even browsers didn't work. I was shocked when Orbot connected. It's not very fast, but that's good too. I don't know how to thank you. It's amazing.

it works with a flaw, my IP is changed to Tehran, even if I tried USA and UK, and reuploaded, it's still giving that, would be good if you fixed that, at least works, but can have an issue with access cuz of the regional limits, who knows, I haven't tried yet, fix the bug.
