About this app

what3words is an easy way to identify precise locations. Every 10 foot square has been given a unique combination of three words: a what3words address. Now you can find, share and navigate to precise locations using three simple words.

Ratings and reviews

City good, country not so good. Taking it doesn't use GPS but instead locating me via multiple phone towers, this works ok in the city where lots of options are great. Head out to the bush where it's more important to have this app and it's a long way off. I spoke to the fire department, they do not trust it and it's why I guess it's not become the norm. They'd rather actual coordinates from the emergency app. I think what3words started off great but without government uptake it's left it sad.

It's fine, it works and does the job. But as the top comment says, there's too many notifications. This isn't exactly an app you need to use often, so why do I need a random useless notification every few days? It just results in people blocking all notifications from the app every time.

I had What3Words on previous phone. I installed on new phone & get adds right above the search bar. I accidentally clicked on one & wouldn't stop trying to sign me up to something I had no interest in. I had to uninstall, reinstall & clear cache. I'm concerned that a useful app, often recommended by emergency services for giving your location, is putting people at risk of accidental sign up & extraction of money via a play store account, if you have stored card details. This downgrades my rating
