Works well in Canadian Rockies, off grid. Blackberry 10 or Android. Going to send them $.
Well handy when out walking.
For 2 years used free version extensively for field work in National Forests and National Parks in the NW U.S. with great success. No issues in the field with understanding that it's a only another handy tool in the toolbox for those of us that work outside and subject to typical tech limitations when outside and in remote areas (e.g. if no cell towers, preload your maps to the scale you will be using). Only suggestion I have is that it would be nice to have ability to transfer all saved points/routes from one phone to another. Good job and thanks for the effort. Will likely buy paid version.
Absolutely the best offline map app available. The assortment of maps and ability to overlay layers, rich feature set, and clean interface are all that one could desire. Application aside, the customer service is stellar. I originally purchased the All In One Offline Maps app from the same developer, without realizing that one main difference between the two apps was that the ability to track your movements was only included in the Alpine Quest app. One quick email later, and I was provided with a code that unlocked the full version of Alpine Quest! Highly recommended for any outdoors persons!
