About this app

The five Flemish provinces have been pursuing an active promotion policy on the local economy for years.
We want to encourage consumers to buy locally through various promotions, such as the month of the market.

With the ikkooplokaal app we want to digitize these actions with the support of the Flemish government.
Municipalities can use the app for actions within their own municipality or in collaboration with other municipalities.
Provinces can take region-specific actions or even action at the Flemish level via this app.

Residents can use the app to participate in promotions, often with great prizes to be won. But visitors to a municipality can also participate via the app. Because the app works via geolocation, the user can be quickly informed of local actions.
Via the built-in QR code reader, users can obtain more information about the promotion and participate in the competitions linked to the promotions.
